RichmondBC - Dog shot after lunging at officers

On November 18, 2020, Richmond RCMP officers responded to two officers in need of assistance. When the additional officers arrived on scene, they encountered a dog that lunged at them and ultimately an officer had to discharge their firearm. Unfortunately, the dog has died as a result.

Homicide #63/2020, Port Union Road and Fanfare Avenue area, Brent Mancheese, 32

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Monday, November 16, 2020, at approximately 11:48 p.m., police responded to a call in the Port Union Road and Fanfare Avenue area.

It is reported:

- officers arrived to find a woman suffering from injuries. She was taken to hospital

- a man was located in a home suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The man has been identified as Brent Mancheese, 32, of Toronto.

Chelsey Arkarakas, 24, of Mississauga, was arrested. She is charged with:

1) Second Degree Murder

She was remanded in custody to appear at Toronto East, 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, Court on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 10 a.m., in room 407, via video.
